HARMONIA MUNDI FRANCE for audiophiles only!
Éditions de Oiseau-Lyre, Monaco, is making available while supplies last a number of Harmonia Mundi France LP recordings from the 80s and early 90s of music by the two Couperins in its catalogue. These sets, with their original extensive booklets (Fr., Eng., Ger.) and in MINT condition with their original wrappings, will be of interest to those collectors who believe that fine LPs from reputable record firms often show a quality of sound superior to their earliest commercial digital transfers of the late 80s and early 90s. We subscribe to that belief ourselves, which is why we have decided to make this offer as a service to our audiophile customers and other collectors.
The following sets and singles are available:
1. Louis Couperin, Intégrale de l’Œuvre de clavecin. Davitt Moroney playing three historic harpsichords: Albert Delin (1678), Couchet-Taskin (1671-1778), and Bellot le Père (1729). Recorded in 1983. Harmonia Mundi France, 5 LPs, HM 1124/28.
